Summary:An important problem of the Air Traffic Management is the determination and optimization of safe aircraft trajectories in order to avoid hazardous weather regions and other aircrafts. This paper presents a review of the main approaches about the modeling and optimization of the aircraft trajectories pursuing two main objectives: i) resolving conflicts with other aircrafts; ii) avoiding hazardous weather.
