To justify the use of COTS regarding power quality, the interaction between the power network and the connected consumers is analyzed with respect to both military and civil standards on a naval vessel. The experiments are carried out during island configuration, i.e. using onboard diesel motor generators only, while the naval vessel was in the `setting to work' phase, so the starting up and testing phase. Such a setting to work phase implies many on/off and unexpected switching events. |
