Summary: | The paper deals with space-vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) technique for the vector controlled two-phase induction machine (TPIM). It is supposed that the machine is supplied either by the VSI three-leg inverter or by matrix half-bridge converter. The later mentioned provides less power losses of the converter due to soft switching (in spite of more number of switches). A reference voltage vector located in the irregular hexagon is realized by adjusting six space vectors and two zero vectors of the three-leg inverter. The switching sequence for the SVPWM technique is also presented in order to minimize the ripple content of the output current. Adapted analogue SVPWM technique is also presented in the text. Analysis for the dynamic operation using a vector control scheme is carried out, and good assumptions for the implementation of the scheme are obtained. Finally, the computer simulations and the results of the experimental verification are presented to confirm and verify of the vector controlled two-phase induction machine using the SVPWM technique. |
