Description
Summary:Single-user multi-antenna technologies are well supported in current standard specifications like LTE Release 8. To meet the IMT-Advanced performance requirements, multi-user MIMO is an attractive technology which could improve cell average spectral efficiency in some scenarios by serving multiuser simultaneously on the same frequency resource. In this paper, we focus on zero-forcing (ZF) and signal-leakage-to-noise ratio (SLNR) MU-MIMO precoding with implicit feedback mechanism supported in LTE Release 8. Some system level simulations reveal significant potential gains of MU-MIMO as compared with LTE Release 8 SU-MIMO in terms of cell average when the spatial correlations at evolved NodeB (eNB) are relatively high.
