Summary: | This paper presents adaptive internal model controller (AIMC) for a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG)based wind farm. Rotor current controller using adaptive internal model controller is designed with Lyapunov theory to improve the voltage sag ride through. A comparative analysis is carried out with adaptive PI controller to prove the effectiveness of the AIMC for voltage sag ride through. Simulation results on a 1.5 MW DFIG system are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed control strategy using fixed gain adjustment mechanism. |
