Description
Summary:The evolution of the Point-of-Care (POC) to home hospitalization brings the Mobile POC approach consisting of several portable medical devices and a mobile system with 3 rd Generation (3G) connectivity. Plug-and-play is a desired feature in Mobile POC applications. This paper presents a new interoperable plug-and-play Electrocardiogram (ECG) recorder for Mobile POC applications. It is based on Bluetooth ® HDP and ISO/IEEE11073 interoperability standards. A high level hardware description is given. Software, including models and the exchange protocol, is detailed. Future work includes the evaluation of the whole service.
