Summary: | Power utilities always look for alternative ways to improve their system capabilities and reduce customer average interruption duration index. One method to achieve this requirement is to prepare fast power restoration plan according to known fault points in terms of geometrical coordinates. This paper presents an intelligent technique for fast and accurate restoration plan using XY coordinates fault points. The proposed technique is based on Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) for representing each breaker and line isolator switches in the power network. First, fault point data are obtained from a developed fault location system. Then, it is used to provide information about the operating status of the switches. This technique produces satisfactory result with maximum absolute error of 0.024 for all used switches. The result was validated by analyzing the operation of the breakers and line isolators in a practical distribution system of 47 buses. |
