Summary: | First, on the basis of building up the mathematical model of signal for binary phase-coded quasi-continuous wave (quasi-CW) radar, we analyze the echo eclipse problem existing in this kind of radar system. Then, in order to resolve the echo eclipse problem and achieve to detect targets in the whole operating range simultaneously, we propose a phase-coded waveform method based on multimode arbitrary code (MAC) sequence from the perspective of waveform design and coding sequence selection. Finally, an example of quasi-CW radar signal which is designed by applying the proposed method is presented and simulated. And simulation results show that the designed radar signal has excellent range/velocity resolution, and it can greatly improve the detection performance of quasi-CW radar. |
