Summary: | The nonlinear parameters in the inverse problem of EEG/MEG dipole reconstructions are the dipoles' locations. As soon as the considered data is noisy or more than one current dipole shall be modeled, the choice of a starting value for the minimizing algorithm is essential. We present a way of making a first guess that needs little computational effort because it does not take into account volume conductor models. The results are shown for four different measurement devices, with simulated data that contains one or two dipoles, and is subject to different noise levels. |
