Summary: | Multistate switching cells-based multilevel rectifiers (MLMSR) are a promising technology in power factor correction applications. They are here arranged in a modular structure that is the basis for a Power Electronics Building Block (PEBB). By the implementation of the multi-interphase transformers (MIPT) in a "whiffletree" configuration, multiple cells can be structured in a way that virtually any number of PEBBs can be used to increase a converter rated power. This work presents the conception and development of such a PEBB exemplarily for multi state switching cells multilevel based rectifiers. The proposed PEBB is presented and two lab prototypes are built. Experimental results are presented. |
