Summary: | Considering the sites variety and anemometric towers, it is very difficult to directly compare wind measurements. In order to do a comparative study between sites, it is necessary to correct the measured data and to transpose them to a standard site of open area roughness at a height of 10 m above ground level. To do this, correction factors as a function of the soil roughness length and the anemometer height are developed and delivered in the chart form enabling us to transpose the wind data of a measurement site to a standard site. Similarly, an extrapolating approach of wind characteristics of the standard site from those of the measurement site is developed and applied to the site of Sidi Daoud wind farm -Tunisia. |
