description | This paper introduces a novel fieldbus behavior modeling based on D-Optimal statistical methods combined with "Design of Experiment". Based on a behavioral computerized simulation regarding different structures and topologies of fieldbuses, it was previously generated a set of experimental data used herein to create prediction models for transmission efficiency and network delay. For each model were included factors that significantly alter the network behavior and excluded insignificant factors in order to simplify the final algebraic expression. To prove the fitness of the proposed models, various statistical tests were made, including graphical overlay plots. |
