Multicore erbium doped fiber amplifier with 5 THz bandwidth, high-gain and low NF
Core-pumped 7-core EDFA with two stage amplification is realized. Combination of its higher gain and GFF enables wide bandwidth operation. NF of Less than 5.5 dB is achieved with improved fan-in device.
