Summary: | Traffic flow forecasting plays an important role for traffic safety control. In grey forecast modeling, the smoothness of the data sequence has a significant impact on the modeling accuracy of GM (1,1) model. According to the present theories of buffer operators and some already existed weakening buffer operators, we proposed some new weakening buffer operators and prove their correctness. Meanwhile, they were compared with the existing weakening buffer operators in prediction effectiveness in traffic flow forecasting. The results shows the validity of new weakening buffer operators in enhancing the forecast accuracy of grey forecast model. |
