Oherent Blue Light Sources Via Waveguide-contained SHG: An Industry/university/government Cooperative R&D Venture
A joint R&D venture is developing a novel multi-beam blue laser source. Light from a GaAs laser array is frequency doubled in a 2D array of channel waveguides formed in a non-linear optical material. A unique GaAs array and novel waveguide coupling technology must also be developed.
