description In this paper, we investigate the performance of two-way relay systems which all the nodes are equipped with multiple-antennas (referred to as MIMO - Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output). The combination of these two techniques have the advantages of wide coverage, high transmission rate and efficiency, etc. We analyze the capacity and outage probability of MIMO two-way relay systems, then it present the research progress of two-way relay systems. Simulation results show that significant performance gains can be achieved by using the scheme compared with the traditional transmission mode. The performance analysis of MIMO two-way relay systems provided the theoretical support for the engineering applications.
