The new architecture of a BUCK/BOOST SHUNT converter non-inverter dedicated to the wind turbine system with a high efficiency

Description
Summary:Many applications often require a power supply with a constant voltage, e.g: a 311V output from a wind alternative source varies from 240V to 340V. Faced to this requirement, the use of a DC-DC Buck/Boost converter associated with a rectifier is required. Several architectures of the Buck/Boost choppers have been proposed in the literature; among these architectures, we find the classic Buck/Boost and Buck+Boost in cascade. These ones have a low yield and can also reverse the sign over the entrance. In this article, we present the new Buck/Boost shunt non-inverted architecture with a higher yield than the other topologies. Moreover, we propose a switch command to switch the system between Buck and Boost function. Simulation results on Orcad Pspice show that the proposed system can provide a very good efficiency and excellent performance.
