Summary:This paper proposed an image fusion method through fuzzy system. In the fusion phase, we perform weighted average of the given images. The weightings are obtained from a fuzzy system incorporated with a rulebase. The inputs of the fuzzy system are the means and standard deviations calculated from a region of the corresponding pixels. With the use of image local properties and the fuzzy system, the fusion performance can be improved.
