Four-wave mixing OTDR and its application to the measurement of nonlinear refractive index and group-velocity dispersion of optical fibers

We propose and experiment with a new configuration of four-wave mixing OTDR to measure the Kerr nonlinearity and group-velocity dispersion (GVD) of optical fibers. We succeed in reconstructing the GVD distribution by using this method.
