Dynamical driving and probing of quantum phase transitions on the nanoscale
We extended the characterization of photoinduced quantum phase transitions into the nanoscale. We demonstrate this for VO 2 by accessing spatial inhomogeneities in the insulator-to-metal transition due to local strain and defects.
