Summary: | The focus of this research is on design of a decentralized controller for a web-winding system. First, the global system is divided into several subsystem, and internal matrix is introduced to cope with the uncertainties of model parameter. Then a decentralized, state feedback control scheme is proposed, which consists of a web velocity control and two tension controllers. Sufficient conditions for the existence of the robust decentralized controllers are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). In order to eliminate the costly load cells, two tension observers are introduced to estimate the web tensions. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is verified by some representative simulation samples. |
