Description
Summary:This paper presents an algorithm for the generation of a multisine signal capable of accurately mimicking bandwidth and first order statistics such as the probability density function and the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of an arbitrary digitally modulated signal. The implemented algorithm outperforms state-of-the-art multisine design procedures by proposing a solution capable of achieving an arbitrarily low PAPR error with respect to the digital signal being decomposed. This innovative step enables a fast multisine-based power amplifier characterization with results that closely match that obtained using the actual digital signal.
