Summary: | In this paper we propose a new method for presentation of the data from body surface potential mapping (BSPM) by constructing isopotential maps on a plane with two coordinates of time and space. A high performance BSPM system was constructed for our study. 50 normal subjects and 10 patients with myocardial infarction were involved. Results demonstrate that the proposed space-time potential map is an effective method to quantitatively present the global features of the space-time distribution of ECG and make up the deficiency of the isopotential map and the isochrone map. This method provides visually a description of the space dispersion of the time when T wave ends. It is a useful method to differentiate U wave distribution from T wave. |
