Summary:Based on a new method of calculation, the software "Oeko-Bar for the comparative analysis of different design solutions of the same product or for analysis of similar products" is in development at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich. This contribution describes the solutions used in "Oeko-Bar" to ensure a high degree of automation of the analysis and at the same time to enhance the level of flexibility and adaptability of the software for the analysis of the great diversity of industrial equipment.
