Summary: | Multicarrier modulation is emerging as a preferred line coding method for digital subscriber line (xDSL) systems. An equation error filter structure is proposed to enable factored polynomial modeling of the transfer functions of the transmission path and the echo path. It exploits the multicarrier signal structure and an assumed system configuration to achieve computationally efficient equalization and echo cancellation. Multicarrier symbol boundary synchronization is also discussed as it relates to equalization and echo cancellation. |
