Description
Summary:Efficient variable-speed drives are becoming more and more common in today's industry. Modern drives include efficiency optimization to improve the performances. Different approaches, such as model based and power measure based methods can be adopted. With increasing harmonic pollution in the power system, real-time monitoring and analysis of harmonic variation have become important. In this paper a digital implementation of a high performance 1.5 kW induction motor drive is presented. The system is useful for optimizing efficiency and evaluating harmonic pollution at different speed and load conditions with several optimisation algorithms. Experimental results demonstrate the performance of the proposed drive.
