Summary:Nowadays, interaction between smart devices and users has a fundamental role in digital world. Among those smart devices, the TV is becoming an important one. Hence, developing more advanced functionality in TV sets which take in consideration internet usage and connectivity with different devices is fundamental. Across the globe, hybrid television standards are being developed, which are aiming at the integration of broadcast and broadband networks. In Brazil, Unicamp is a member of the project GLOBAL ITV and has been developing and implementing application integration between Hybrid Broadcast and Broadband TV (HbbTV), a European hybrid TV standard, and the Brazilian digital TV structure, which middleware is called Ginga. This present work presents a transport stream transmission model containing both Ginga and HbbTV application in a DSM-CC object carousel simultaneously, achieving coexistence between then, further include second screen applications.
