Summary: | This letter studies the mathematical property of the energy-efficiency (EE) function for multiple-input single-output systems with transmit antenna selection. We prove that the monotonicity of the function is guaranteed if the system signal-to-noise ratio satisfies a sufficient condition, which is quite feasible in practice. Based on this property, an algorithm with low complexity is proposed to find the maximum EE. The monotonicity of the function and the advantage of the proposed algorithm are confirmed by numerical results. |
