Assigning a correlation score to simulated and measured radiation pattern pairs

Summary: | This paper discusses a correlation methodology between two types of Far-Field radiation patterns belonging to the same device - one that is measured in an anechoic chamber and one that is simulated with a 3D full-wave EM solver. The problems with establishing such a correlation are discussed in this paper, and an algorithm is proposed to mitigate several possible sources of disagreement. Experimental results of the EUT measurements, simulations and the algorithm operation are presented using an Infiniband network card as an example. |
