Summary: | This paper proposes the implementation of predictive controllers in fault-tolerant PMSM drive systems. Two faulty conditions on fault control including an open-circuit power device and a short-circuit power device are investigated. A systematic design for a model-based speed controller and a model- free current controller in the fault-tolerant PMSM drive system is proposed. The proposed drive system has better performance than the PI controller including quicker recovery time and smaller speed drop for conditions on fault control. Experimental results can validate the theoretical analysis. |
