Summary: | Located near of Moscow "Istok" state corporation is the basic centre of microwave electronics in Russia. From its foundation in 1943, Istok developed and manufactured a wide spectrum of microwave devices (firstly vacuum, and then solid-state devices and assembled modules) for various civilian and military systems produced in USSR and now in Russia. Alongside the traditional designs of klystrons, TWTs, BWOs, crossed-field devices, etc. Istok has developed several families of vacuum devices having original design and enhanced performances: multiple beam tubes (klystrons, TWTs, BWOs), cyclotron low noise amplifiers, miniature devices of O and M types, etc. The first part of the paper is concerned with the performances of the vacuum devices manufactured in by Istok. The second part considers some new areas of vacuum device development in SRPC Istok (problems to be solved and achieved results). |
