Description
Summary:We characterized the water contents in liver, spleen, kidney, and brain of rat using terahertz (THz) spectroscopic imaging system. The water content of the tissues was extracted using simple equations with complex optical constants of fresh and freeze-dried tissue. The content of water in organs before and after freeze drying was compared with the difference of mass of tissue before and after lyophilization. All results almost identical except kidneys.
