Summary:DC auto-transformer (DCAT) traction power supply system has been studied for the stray current and rail potential issues of urban rail transit. However, the voltage difference issue under open-loop control will lead to performance degradation of DCAT system. The voltage difference control strategy is proposed in this paper, and DCAT simplified system is proposed to analyze the voltage difference issue. The principle of voltage difference issue and the proposed control strategy are discussed in detail. Simulation and experimental results indicate that DCAT system with the voltage difference control strategy can solve the voltage difference issue effectively.
