Summary: | Step-like weighting windows are introduced for various digital signal processing and antenna array applications. The usefulness of these windows lies in the fact that the weight values of the in-normalized windows are piecewise constants and take on only integer values, thereby making the data weighting very effective. In the case of antenna arrays, the weight values take on very few distinct values. The optimization and properties of these windows are considered and they are compared with their Dolph-Chebyshev and Kaiser-Bessel counterparts. |
