Summary: | In this paper, design and characterization of an equilateral triangular patch antenna by using AgHT-8 fed via a microstrip feed line by overlapping beneath the radiating patch is presented. The antenna is fabricated on glass substrate where feeding is done via a copper microstrip line. Return loss measurements are carried out for different patch position over the given length of the feed line where a better return loss value of −31.26 dB is achieved at a certain position. Radiation pattern measurements are carried out for the antenna with best matching performance over the −10dB bandwidth. Further, the results are compared with an equilateral triangular patch antenna fabricated with copper designed on the same glass substrate without changing the dimension. |
