Summary:This paper proposes a method of fuzzy control of parallel capacitor switching, supported by the approach of the artificial neural network dynamic detecting reactive current, using the features of electric railway power system reactive current. It improves power factor and compensating precision with lower capacitor switching frequency. It also prevents the capacitor from resonating with power system. Analysis of compensation features proves that the method is valid and feasible and has superior function. It is the optimizing method of reactive current compensation.
