Summary: | Because of the influence of various factors, laser spot intensity distributes nonuniformly, so that the deviation between the geometric center and the intensive center of the spot is relevant in large-scale ranging based on optical triangulation. The conventional methods of locating spot center are then unsuitable. According to the feature that the better part of circle spot can be obtained by the image of spot, a new algorithm based on Hough transform (HT) for locating laser spot center is presented. The experimental results show the method can effectively raise the measuring precision of distance. |
