Description
Summary:We produced HTS capacitors using two HTS tapes as electrodes. We observed that the current increased with frequency when fixed voltage was applied, thereby demonstrating the capacitance characteristic. In addition, changes in the dielectric layer and length of the HTS capacitor tape exhibited the same trend as those for regular capacitance. We tested directional changes of the transport current, using "same direction mode," and "opposite direction mode." In the opposite direction mode, the magnetic field was canceled and the inductance was nonexistent. In the same direction mode, we observed that the characteristic of the capacitor included the inductance in series. We clarified the fundamental HTS capacitance characteristic.
