Description
Summary:The results of experimental researches of the frequency characteristics of capacitors K41I-7, that are most often used to obtain powerful current pulses are reported in the paper. It turned out that these capacitors have a pronounced inductive component at frequencies above 40 kHz. Inductive component must be allowed in developing a source of pulsed power. The reported results of experiments were made on the numerical implementation of the developed mathematical model of the capacitive power supply system. The adequacy of the mathematical model is confirmed by comparing the obtained data with the results of a real physical experiments on the ignition of a high-power pulsed arc discharge. The reported results of numerical experiments showed that the value of the inductive component of the complex impedance of the capacitors determines the rate of current rise in such systems.
