Summary: | Power quality instrumentation has advanced significantly and allows continuous monitoring and the capability of capturing various power quality measurements. As a result more and more data is being collected, however, there is no practical method to conveniently convert the collected raw data into specific knowledge desired by end-users. In this panel session, a method of converting raw data into knowledge using the so-called knowledge discovery approach is presented. The motivation and background to automating the data converting process along with a real-world example implemented in an industrial power monitoring system is presented. |
