Absorption and Microstructure Properties Calculated of Er-Doped Silica Fiber Based on DFT Theory

A local microstructure model of Er-doped silica fiber is constructed and its absorption spectrum properties are calculated based on DFT and TD-DFT theory. An absorption spectrum of commercial Er-doped silica fiber is also measured.
