MEMS variable optical attenuator for DWDM optical amplifiers
A fully packaged variable optical attenuator for DWDM systems based on a MEMS silicon chip is shown to have low insertion loss, low PDL, a flat response over the wavelength range 1530 nm-1565 nm, and a low DC drive voltage.
