Summary: | In this work a conformal band stop filter for microwave applications is proposed. Filter is designed using microstrip line and Composite Split Ring Resonator (CSRR). Microstrip filter here is designed for ISM Band. A very high attenuation in Stop band with a very low attenuation in stop and a conformal structure is considered as the advantage of this filter. The obtained attenuation in stop band is 25.32 db at 2.35 GHz. The effect of variations of dimensions of CSRR in terms of filtering frequency is also proposed. Simulation results indicate that as external radius of CSRR increases the operative frequency of filter is also varied. The filtering action of CSRR is due to achieved negative value of permittivity or permeability. Technique provided by Nicolson is used to calculate the permeability of the structure. |
