Description
Summary:Agriculture in India plays a very important role. Agriculture is the primary source of livelihood, for about 58% of India's population and accounts for 18% of India's GDP. Modernizing the old techniques reduces the manual work at fields. A new method can be developed so that farmer will get the soil moisture content data. Traditional farming can be transformed into smart farming by using this technique. This paper proposes a design to get the soil moisture sensor data from the micro: bit and send the value to the cloud. A BBC micro: bit, a moisture sensor and ESP8266 NodeMCU are used in this project. Thingspeak platform is used to send the data to the cloud and display the data. Thus using this system farmer can monitor the water content in the soil without going to the field
