Description
Summary:Traffic flow has been investigated by observing traffic phenomena in real traffic situations and interpreting the traffic phenomena based on traffic flow theory. The traffic flow theory is defined as "the description of traffic behavior by application of the laws of physics and mathematics". The traffic flow theory seeks to describe the interactions between the vehicles and their operators (the mobile components) and the infrastructure (the immobile component) in precise mathematical way. For the realistic information of the current traffic state on traffic networks, the traffic flow of the networks is simulated by traffic flow models reproducing traffic dynamics with actual boundary conditions. In this paper a Bond Graph based modelling is use in order to obtain a realistic model of the physical system for the use case of traffic flow. For the use case a macroscopic traffic flow model is presented and a bond graph based modelling approach is used. Taking the most simple road segment we can actually recreate the system's behavior during congestion presented by one junction bond graph with only entry effort.
