Integrated macroeconomic model (IMEM) and reasoning method for IMEM: combined qualitative-quantitative method

description | Macroeconomic forecasting and control are complex problems, among which, the forecasting problem is basic but not easy. There are different methods for macroeconomic forecasting, however, these methods are still not well developed. This paper develops an integrated modeling framework that aims at formulating an integrated macroeconomic model. We explore the concept of and concepts related to the IMEM, and develop a combined qualitative-quantitative reasoning method for the IMEM. The concepts of the IMEM and its reasoning method are closely related. Along with our discussion, we give an example to show advantages of this approach. |
