Summary: | Maintaining the reliability and security of bulk power system is of critical importance, the operation of real time power systems is more difficult and complex due to the increasing structure, more load demands and other issues, implementation of the dynamic security assessment (DSA) based on smart dispatching system and the calculation analysis based on the real-time data collected by the energy management system plays an important role in ensuring the security and stability of power system. The overview of DSA system including architecture, hardware configuration, functional components, computation flow chart are briefly introduced in this paper. An operating experience case in practical that a generator need emergency shutdown due to fault show that the dynamic security assessment system can quickly and efficiently assess and find the weak part in power system, playing an important role in the decision-making for the actual operation of power system. |
