Description
Summary:Steady state vibrations in 3D solid consisting of two elastic half-spaces, intermediate thin layer and containing in one of the half-spaces penny-shaped crack is considered. The solution is selected as integral representation with unknown crack-opening functions. Formulated problem in frequency domain is solved by a boundary integral equation method (BIEM). The influence of applied loading frequency, the ratio of the stiffness of the solid materials, the crack depth on mode-III dynamic stress intensity factor (SIF) near crack front points is investigated.
