Summary: | Thyristor voltage regulator (TVR) - is an innovative smart device with a thyristor control. It is designed for operational regulation of voltage and a power flow in the electrical network 6-20 kV. To protect TVR from the short-circuit current, a system based on the differential principle with the use of the double-entry method is proposed. The proposed approach to the processing of information on currents measured at the ends of the protected objects, allows ensuring reliable operation of the differential protection (DP) and eliminate its unnecessary actions in case of the current transformer damage. The article is devoted to the study of two possible design of the protection system: centralized and distributed DP. Expediency of application of system with the centralized DP has been proved. |
