Description
Summary:The vegetation lidar mission named " MOLI: Multi-footprint Observation Lidar and Imager" has been studied by the JAXA in cooperation with forest biomass researchers. MOLI aimed to measure accurate canopy height from the international space station. The MOLI lidar system employs double laser beam footprints along the track for improving the precision of canopy height. The doudble beam configuration reduces the impact of ground elevation to estimate canopy height. The laser transmitter is a key component for achieving the mission. The lifetime test of a laser transmitter was finished from 2015 to 2017. We are now built ongoing to conduct thermal shock, vibrational, and vacuum test in JFY2018. These results will be presented in this conference.
